Abstract

571,045. Optical viewing apparatus. PARKER, H. T., and INTERNATIONAL TIME RECORDING CO., Ltd. March 31, 1944, No. 5988. [Class 97 (i)] [Also in Group XIV] Apparatus in the form of a writing desk is adapted to display a reflected image 3<1> of the rear face of a record card 3 or other document placed on the transparent sloping top 1, in continuation of or coplanar with the front face, to facilitate entry of records related to those on the back of the card &c. The apparatus has a mirror 6 below and extending beyond the top, and a rear upright mirror 5, as well as a lamp 8 below the top at one side. The unused part of the top may be screened from the light by adjustable sliding masks. In a modification, both mirrors may be inclined below a flattopped casing.
