509,257. Plate heat - exchangers. SELIGMAN, R., GOODMAN, H. F., and ALUMINIUM PLANT & VESSEL CO., Ltd. Jan. 12, 1938, No. 1016. [Class 64 (iii)] A retarder chamber for insertion in a platetype milk &c. pasteurizer comprises a frame a provided with perforate baffles h, h<1> adjacent the inlet and outlet ports and having side closure plates of which one may be provided with an inlet port g, Fig. 3, extending across the whole width of the chamber. With such an inlet port the baffles may be omitted. A filter cloth or gauze may be associated with the baffles or the inlet port. Specification 307,425, [Class 64 (iii)], is referred to.
