Abstract
1,155,065. Valves. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG - NURNBERG A.G. 15 May, 1967 [10 June, 1966], No. 22407/67. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F4] A balanced valve comprises a pair of rectangular closure plates 12, 13 supported by spaced arms 6, (9) for rotation about an axis 5. The plates co-operate with openings 3, 4 in a seat 2 and abut opposite sides of this seat in the closed position. In the valve of Fig. 5, two sets of plates 12, 13 are mounted on a common shaft at right-angles to each other to connect inlet 26 alternately to one of the outlets 27, 28 via openings in seat 29. In Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown) the inlet and outlet of a condenser or heat exchanger are each controlled by a valve arranged as in Fig. 5, the two valves being mounted on a common shaft (42, 56). The openings may be of unequal size.
