[Also in Division F4] The amount of combustion air supplied to a burner having a fuel nozzle 160 is controlled by two plates each having semi-circular cutouts 147, 152, one plate being rotatable with respect to the other within the limits of a slot 153 to vary the size of the apertures. Vanes 143 are provided to deflect the air towards a central opening 142 housing the burner after the air has passed through the apertures.
