Abstract

1,234,474. Valves. GUMMERS Ltd. 2 July, 1969 [22 July, 1968], No. 34915/68. Heading F2V. Mixing valve for hot and cold water comprises two inlet ducts 6, 8 to the mixing chamber 32, a valve closure 28, 30 movable toward and away from seating means 34 to control the total flow into the chamber, and a second, rotatable valve closure member 38, 42, 44 positioned transversely of the inlets on the upstream side of the seating means. This second closure member has ports 42, 44 which may be angularly offset and are arranged to adjust the relative flows and hence the temperature of the mixed water going to an outlet (10). The valves are operated by separate handles 4, 12.
