Abstract
1,073,412. Valves. GULDE-BEGELARMA. TUREN VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H., [trading as GULDE-REGELARMATUREN KOMM.- GES]. Aug. 5, 1964 [Aug. 6, 1963], No. 31867/64. Heading F2V. In a three-way mixing or flow dividing valve actuated pneumatically by a diaphragm device 52, the axis of a total flow passage 48 at the entry to a chamber 47 is at right-angles to the axis of opposed coaxial seats 49, 50 associated with part flow passages 42, 45 which are of equal cross-sections at corresponding distances from the axis of the total flow passage 48, and the seats 49, 50 are controlled by sealing surfaces provided on cones 53, 54 which engage the outer sides of seats 49, 50 and the positions whereof on a valve operating stem 51 can be changed to permit engagement with the inner sides of the seats 49, 50 (Fig. 3 and 4, not shown). The axes of all three flow passages lie in one plane at their outlet from the valve and the axis of the part flow passages (9, 10) (Fig. 5, not shown) may be coaxial, with the axis of the total flow passage (11) at right-angles thereto at their outlet from the valve or the total flow passage (31) (Fig. 6, not shown) may be coaxial with one of the part flow passages (33) with the other part flow passage (32) at right-angles thereto. The valve position may be indicated by a pointer 5 upon operating stem 51 and the valve casing is either made in two parts 40, 43, joined by bolts 55, with the seats 49, 50 and central casing 46 clamped therebetween or the valve casing may be constructed in a single piece with upper and lower covers (12, 13) (Fig. 4, not shown).
