Abstract

1,256,256. Valves. RAYMOR PTY Ltd. 17 Oct., 1969, No. 51097/69. Heading F2V. A hot and cold water mixing valve has opposed inlets 13, 14 leading to separate inlet apertures 17, 18 in a cylindrical sleeve 12 inserted in a bore 11. Outlets (21), 22 for a bath and shower communicate with separate outlet apertures 24, 25 in the sleeve. A control spindle 27 is rotatable in the sleeve and has two sealing rings 31, 32 each in a plane at an acute angle to the axis of rotation and opposite an inlet aperture so that on rotation they are caused to move across the apertures to vary flow. Between the sealing rings the spindle is cut away apart from a flange 33 which sealingly engages the sleeve intermediate the outlet apertures. The position of the inlet and outlet apertures may be interposed. Stop valves are provided intermediate each inlet and its respective inlet aperture. The sleeve 12 may be dispensed with.
