507,041. Rotary meters. FIDES GES. FUR DIE VERWALTUNG UND VERWERTUNG VON GEWERBLICHEN SCHUTZ. RECHTEN. Oct. 28, 1938, No. 31275. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1937. [Class 110 (ii)] In a meter, a rotary, or gyratory, piston 6 drives the spindle 11 of the metering mechanism (not shown) through a reduction gear arranded inside the meter chamber. As shown in the figure, the centre pin 7 rolls around a fixed projection '5, and a pinion 8, which is free to rotate on the pin, engages a stationary toothed rim 9, and a rotatable gear 10 which has a different number of teeth from the fixed rim 9. A stuffing-box 12 is provided. The reduction gearing may be used in conjunction with meters using pistons having rolling circular movements, e.g. a swash-plate meter.
