[Class 122 (i)] In an ,aluminium alloy or like piston wherein the rings are mounted on a reduced part of the piston between spacing rings b and a screwed retaining ring c, the rings band c are of steel or like material of lower coefficient of expansion than the piston. One or more tongues d cut in the screwed ring are bent into a recess or recesses in the piston to lock the ring in position.
