[Class 53] A holder for a glass or other rod or tube spacing element for an accumulator consists ofamember i, Fig. 3, of channel section which retains the tubular spacer and a separator support h, Fig. 4, which is suspended from a negative plate. The supports h, by means of upturned lugs a carry a flat separator and either also support the member i or are formed as a unitary structure with it, Fig. 5 (not shown). The side walls of the channel section converge slightly in order to retain the glass rod more securely in position. The supports h and members i are made of material unaffected by the electrolyte preferably of a synthetic resin product.
