Abstract
471,240. Batteries. CHLORIDE ELECTRICAL STORAGE CO., Ltd. April 1, 1937, No. 9336. Convention date, May 13, 1936. [Class 53] In order to prevent the electrolyte from uncovering the plates of an accumulator when the latter is inverted for a short time, partitions d, b are provided above and below the plates. The partitions are provided with small openings o so that the lower partition forms a reservoir r for electrolyte, the space above the upper partition being normally empty. When the accumulator is inverted, electrolyte which leaves the cell through the openings o in the partition d, is replaced by electrolyte which flows from the reservoir r through the openings in partition b.
