Abstract
996,476. Batteries. SOC. DES ACCUMULATEURS FIXES ET DE TRACTION. Jan. 26, 1962 [Jan. 27, 1961], No. 3144/62. Heading H1B. In a nickel-cadmium alkaline cell similar to that disclosed in Specification 855,812, the separator is made wholly from felted fibres of a non-electrolyte absorbent material, e.g. nylon, polypropylene, which is inert to the electrolyte. As in the above Specification, the thickness of the separators is less than 0À4 mm. and the volume of electrolyte associated with each electrode is between 1 and 2 c.c. per amp. hr. capacity. Specifications 715,903 and 996,475 also are referred to.
