Abstract

1,068,849. Accumulators. TUDOR A.B. Oct. 1, 1964 [Oct. 9, 1963], No. 39957/64. Heading H1B. A sealed accumulator has a diaphragm pump to force oxygen generated in the cell, from a space above the electrolyte to the lower part of the cell case so that oxygen rises into contact with at least one negative electrode. The pump 11 may be in the cell and oxygen is conducted along pipe 12 to a manifold 13 from whence oxygen escapes past negative plates 2.
