579,357. Fuse boxes. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., HILL, W. E., and WINTLE, T. D. G. March 21,1944, Nos. 5275 and 13236. [Class 38 (i)] A compartmented fuse box comprises a moulded insulating block a of which each compartment d is adapted to receive a resilient U-shaped clip l for a replaceable cartridge fuse p. Each clip is connected to a resilient socket e having a spring controlled clamping screw for a removable plug or ferrule. A cover r, having a transparent covering r' and sloping sides r<3> may shroud the ferrules. A bus-bar n connects all the sockets of one row of clips. In Fig. 4 (not shown), the cover r is replaced by fuse-holders. Modifications in the first Provisional Specification comprise a central bus-bar and a thick platform dividing each compartment into upper and lower portions. Specification 552,503 is referred to. Specification 573,802 also is referred to in the first Provisional Specification.
