[Class 87 (ii)] A machine for moulding concrete and other plastic material by combined centrifugal and shaking actions comprises a mould 2 adapted to be rotated about its vertical axis by a table 1 which is reciprocated along that axis. The table 1 is mounted on a spindle 4 in an axial passage in a support 6 vertically movable on guide columns 7. The spindle is rotated by a pulley 16 and belt gearing 12, 14 from a shaft 10. The support 6 is vertically reciprocated by rings 19, 20 having ratchet teeth and fixed respectively to a pulley 17 and the underside of the support 6. The pulley 17 is rotated to cause jarring by belt gearing 13, 15 from the shaft 10. The pulley 12 is held from jumping during vibration by a spring. Springs 21 may be provided on the columns 7. The stroke of reciprocation of the support 6 may be regulated by moving the rings 19, 20 nearer or further apart as by adjusting an abutment 22 for the spindle 4 by a screw 23. The mould 2 is secured to the table 3 by jaws 32 and cables 33. A core may be engaged by a mandrel 25 fixed to a piston 26 normally held down by a spring 27 and mounted on a bracket 29 adjustably fixed on an upright 30. The material may be fed continuously in small quantities through a shoot 35 and hopper 34.
