[Also in Division F2] The end element 40 of a hopper 41 is mounted on springs 45 and vibrated along its axis by pairs of eccentric masses 42a, 42b mounted on parallel shafts directly connected to the element. Similar pairs of masses may be mounted beneath a spring-mounted base plate for a helical elevator or they may be mounted at the upper and lower ends or be spaced along the length of a helical elevator suspended from a spring 26.
