Abstract
845,910. Moulding concrete. RIHA, J. June 21, 1957, No. 19594/57. Class 87(2). Concrete mixture passes from the hopper 1 through the adjustable tapered outlet 5 to a series of moulds 3 mounted on conveying means 13 for movement beneath the hopper and then past a system of adjustably fixed profiled vibration surfaces 6 so that the concrete is subjected to vibration compression and then to an adjustably fixed smoothing plate 8 for smoothing the upper surface of the concrete, the area beneath the vibration surfaces 6 and the smoothing plate 8 on the underside of the conveying means being adjustably sprung. By inserting tubular cores 11 rigidly suspended on the hopper, articles having cavities may be produced.
