Abstract
379,522. Moulding tiles &c. PORTLAND-CEMENTWERKE HEIDELBERGMANNHEIM-STUTTGART AKT. - GES., Heidelberg, Germany. Sept. 8, 1931, No. 25169. Convention date, Sept. 8, 1930. [Class 87 (ii).] Relates to machines for moulding fluted or channelled tiles &c., having an intermittently rotated prismatic drum i whose faces constitute moulds il .. 5, which coact with a reciprocating die head h; and consists in providing a flap p which prevents the excess material pressed out of the working mould from passing into the following mould. The flap is mounted on a shaft o carried by a yoke m on the die member, the shaft carrying a counterweight t and an arm q which contacts with a vertically adjustable stop r thereby controlling the motion of the flap in synchronism with the movement of the die.
