707,242. Wrapping-machines. FORSTERS MACHINE CO., Ltd. April 10, 1952 [April 12, 1951], No. 8560/51. Addition to 680,115. Class 94 (1) The machine described in the parent Specification is improved by the provision of interchangeable top-folding plates of different dimensions and/or having depending flanges of different dimensions, which are adapted and arranged to be mounted in a readily-detachable .manner in a member to which a predetermined reciprocating movement is imparted to effect the folding of the portion of the wrapper extending from the top of the package and the subsequent downward movement of the package. As shown, each folding plate 20, having a depending flange 23 secured thereto by screws, is carried by an arm 19 secured by a nut 18 to a stem 8 adapted to be received in a tubular arm 4 and having pins 11, engageable in bayonet slots 12 in the arm against the action of a spring 13 acting between pads 15 and 16. The arm 4 is adjustably secured to a reciprocable member 1 carried by a blade 2 mounted for vertical movement in ballbearings 3 as described in Specification 681,412, [Group XXXIV].
