502,884. Auxiliary air - admission devices. ROCCHI, U. June 21, 1937, No. 17266. Void. Convention date, June 19, 1936. [Class 7 (ii)] A piston valve 9, operating in a cylindrical bore, in a fitting disposed between the carburetter and the intake manifold, is actuated by a manually controlled lever or by the throttle valve to cut off the admission of mixture and supply braking air to the manifold. The valve 9 is integral with a valve 10 which is held against a seat 12 by a spring 11 to close the air admission ports 13, and is moved away from the seat by the manually controlled lever.
