Abstract

502,652. Feeding sheets. NICKE, A. Sept. 9, 1938. No. 26343. [Class 100 (i)] In sheet-feeding mechanism in which the sheets are fed to the grippers 20 of the irnpression cylinder C of a printing press by preliminary grippers 16 or suction grippers 22 on a shaft driven by a Geneva stop mechanism, the Geneva mechanism is operated by pins 5, 6 on the cylinder C or carried by the shaft of the cylinder, the star wheel of the gripper feed being intermittently rotated by the pins. The shaft of the preliminary grippers may be fitted with guiding rings 17 at parts where the lay marks 25 are fitted. Specification 454,295 is referred to.
