Abstract

501,693. notary engines. TANZLER, H.U. Feb. 21, 1938, No. 5479. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1937. [Class 110 (ii)] The engine or compressor comprises rotating drums 9, 10, eccentrically positioned with regard to one another, and vanes 11 which are pivoted in the outer drum and slide between rocking segments 12. A pin 5, which lies inthe plane of the axes of the drums 9, 10, but outside those axes, locates the ends of forks 13 to act as positive guiding means. In a modification, the drums are square in shape, and the forks 13 are attached to the segments 12 instead of to the vanes. In the latter case, inlet and outlet ports lie within a central fixed boss. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 described an engine having three rotating drums, vanes passing through segments in each. The vanes, in this instance, were hinged to the pin 5. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
