501,132. Preventing inductive disturbance. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. July 21, 1937, No. 20148. Convention date, Sept. 4, 1936. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] In a system in which high-frequency and low-frequency signalling currents are superimposed, a low-pass filter is so constructed as to attenuate high-frequency currents which are in phase coincidence as well as those which are in phase opposition in the two legs of the line. In the system shown, high-frequency signals pass from terminals a, b to receiver 2 through a high-pass filter 1, while low-frequency signals pass to a receiver 9 over a low-pass filter 10. High-frequency disturbances originating at 9 are choked by the coils 3, 4 and go to earth through condensers 5, 6, being in phase in the two legs of the line ; the coils 7, 8 are so coupled that they neutralize one another's inductance in this case. On the other hand, any highfrequency disturbances which circulate in the loop so as to be in opposite phase in the two legs are choked by the coils 7, 8.
