Abstract

498,976. Centrifugal pumps. KLEIN, SCHANZLIN, & BECKER AKT.-GES. April 7, 1938, No. 10644. Convention date, April 7, 1937. [Class 110 (i)] In a multi-stage pump with axially-divided casing fluid-tightness is obtained by putting pressure upon the inserted guide members by means of bolts, in the open end of the cylinder, which do not penetrate the members. These parts are pressed against an annular shoulder 10 in the casing 2 by a ring 11 secured by studs 12. The ring 11 engages a ring 8 carrying or made in one with the counter-bearing 14 of the relieving disc 6. In the former case, the bearing 14 is secured by a ring 17 or by the flange 19 of the stuffing-box cover 15. The cover 15 and ring 11 may be integral, or the ring 11 may be screwed on to the casing.
