Abstract
498,808. Regulating. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. June 27, 1938, No. 19019. Convention date, June 26, 1937. [Class 7 (vi)] In an engine having a blower driven through a hydraulic clutch, a lost-motion device is provided for connecting the throttle controlling the air delivered by the blower with a control device for the hydraulic clutch, so that the latter is actuated only after the initial opening or closing movements of the throttle have been effected. The Figure shows a blower b driven through a hydraulic clutch c supplied with oil by pumps y, z, the supply from the latter pump being controlled by a piston valve p connected by a lost-motion device v with the air throttle e. A braking-device r holds the control valve p in its adjusted positions.
