Divided out of 480,923 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 24, 1937. [Class 115] Apparatus for launching and landing seaplanes from ships comprises a slipway 16 carrying a cradle 13, this slipway is pivoted to a carriage 18 running on rails on the ship's deck. The loaded carriage 13 is retracted until the seaplane balances the weight of the slipway, and the jack 21 is then operated to pivot the slipway to a horizontal position. The carriage 18 is then moved inboard.
