[Class 52 (iii)] In a draw-leaf table comprising a pair of sliding end leaves 4, 5 and a centre leaf 10 adapted to be raised into position between them, the end leaves are interconnected for simultaneous movement by mechanism such as a lazy-tongs 14 mounted on a central crossbar 3 of the frame 1b and connected at each end to cross members 15, 16 extending between the runners 6, 7 of the end leaves, the cross members being in substantially the same horizontal plane and arranged so that in the closed position they are adjacent and the centre leaf 10 is housed beneath the end leaves and above the cross members. The centre leaf is spring-urged upwardly and maintained in coplanar relation with the end leaves by stops 17, it is held in its lower position until the end leaves are fully extended by rollers 12 engaging grooves 13 in the runners 6, 7. The runners pass through guide members in the frame and V-shaped brackets 8 on the crossbar 3, and are cut away to clear the centre leaf and grooved to engage tongues 9 on the frame to prevent them lifting.
