Abstract

496,959. Cross - winders. SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.- GES. June 8, 1937, No. 15901. Convention date, June 8, 1936. [Class 120 (ii)] In a cross-winder for tapered bobbins wherein the bobbin spindle is given an increasing obliquity to the driving roller as the bobbin diameter increases, the rotatable arm 14 carrying the bobbin spindle 20 is provided with a rigidly connected guide lever 27 furnished at its extremity with a ball pin 32 sliding in a guide track 30 parallel with the driving roller 2 in such manner that the guide lever remains in substantially constant position during the whole of the building-up of the bobbin. The bobbin spindle 20 is carried by a footpiece 19 pivoted on a pin 18 carried in the arm 14 rotating on the bearing pin 13 to which it is secured by an angular member 16 engaging in a notch. The guide track 30 is adjustable about the stationary rod 11, and the ball pin 32 is adjustable in a slot 28.
