Abstract

194,518. Morrison, J. W., and Holt, T. W. Feb. 20, 1922. Winding-machines.-In a yarn or like winding machine, the spindle a upon which the yarn is wound is supported at one end in a driving-bearing b, and at the other end in a movable sleeve-bearing i. The bearing i comprises a socket bored at i<2> and having a flat portion i<1>, and arranged to slide in an upright j and to be fixed in any position by a screw k. The upright j is carried on the slotted top l<1> of a bracket l, and can thus be set out of alignment from the path of the traversed yarn-guide g when winding conical cheeses.
