Abstract
A preparation for treating surfaces such as glass to prevent deposition of moisture, fog or frost thereon comprises a sulphonated vegetable oil, a sulphonated fatty acid or a sulphonated fatty alcohol with about 5 per cent of a hydrocarbon oil. Sulphonated cotton seed oil, olive oil or castor oil, may be mixed with about 5 per cent of liquid paraffin. Glycerine may also be present and the sulphonated oils &c. may be replaced by thin neutralized derivatives.ALSO:A preparation for treating surfaces such as glass to prevent deposition of moisture, fog or frost thereon comprises a sulphonated vegetable oil, a sulphonated fatty acid or a sulphonated fatty alcohol or a mixture of these together with about 5 per cent of a hydrocarbon oil. Sulphonated cotton seed oil, olive oil and castor oil are mentioned as suitable sulphonated vegetable oils. and their neutralized derivatives may also be used. Liquid paraffin is the preferred hydrocarbon oil. Glycerine may also be present. The preparation may be applied diluted with water.
