Abstract

Graphite oxides are ground with a liquid of low surface tension such as petroleum or carbon tetrachloride and the paste thus produced is mixed or ground with addition of mineral or vegetable oil. The first liquid is then removed by distillation, and the product is stabilized by further grinding, optionally in presence of a soluble dispersing agent such as camphor and amyl alcohol.
