Abstract

Lubricants for bearings &c. consist of a mixture of a mineral oil gelatinized by 7-9 per cent of soap as described in Specification 351,041, with a solidified or thickened vegetable oil lubricant which does not thin until the temperature is raised. Graphite or other solid lubricant may be added. For example, 1 lb. of the product described in Specification 351,041 is mixed with 1 lb. of the solidified castor oil described in Specification 349,684. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 11129/15, [Class 91, Oils &c.].
