Abstract

493,188. Washing-machines. TULLIS, Ltd., D. & J., and TULLIS, D. K. Feb. 9, 1938, No. 4020. [Class 138 (ii)] Rinsing water is supplied to the interior of the rotary receptacle 7 of a washing-machine from a stationary chamber 3 arranged within the machine casing 1 and provided with an aperture 5 coaxial with the receptacle trunnion 6. A boss 8 secured to the end wall of the receptacle fits into the aperture 5 and is provided with an annular pocket 9 communicating at one end with the chamber 3 and having apertures 10 at the other end communicating with the receptacle. A perforated plate 11 may be provided within the receptacle. A similar arrangement may be provided at the other end of the machine.
