Abstract

492,723. Anaesthetic and like apparatus. HALL, V. L. L. March 25, 1937, No. 8743. [Class 81 (ii)] A rubber or like nasal mask 2 for administering anµsthetic or other gases has a channel, formed in the wall thereof and leading from an inlet tube 1, substantially opposite the bridge of the nose, to a point directly beneath the nostrils. The channel may comprise a closed conduit within the mask wall or a groove 3 covered by a flexible or other deflector plate 4 preferably connected to or integral with the inlet tube. The mask may be combined with the valve described in Specification 486,223.
