Abstract

649,230. Anaesthetic apparatus. BLEASE. J. H. Nov. 12, 1948, No. 29487. [Class 81(ii)] In an endo-tracheal set there is provided a plate, to be secured over the patient's mouth, having, on one side, a connection for a detachable endo-tracheal tube and; on the other side, a connection for anaesthetic apparatus. In the form described the plate 1, Fig. 1, has studs 6 for a head strap and carries tapered tubular bayonet fittings 4, 2 for the tube 7, Fig. 4, and the anaesthetic connection 10, Fig. 5. In place of the direct fitting of the anaesthetic tube to the plate there may be interposed either an angle fitting or a T fitting, see Figs. 3 and 2 (not shown), the latter also providing facilities for the administration of a second gas or the introduction of instruments.
