[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Groups XXXI and XXVIII] A fibrous bushing, preferably of oil impregnated wood in two parts 44 with an intermediate oil-retaining pad 45, is interposed between a crank pin 40 and a sleeve 42 driving an air pump. To dissipate the heat generated by high speeds of revolution, a heat-conducting rod 47, which may be of aluminium, is threaded into the crank pin, its head clamping a fan-like heat dissipating disc thereto.
