Abstract
483,712. Pistons. MILLER, H. P. Oct. 23, 1936, No. 28833. [Class 122 (i)] An annular piston 3 is provided with hollow cylindrical extensions 16, 17, guided in extensions of the cylinder and through which air is circulated for cooling purposes. The air may be circulated from the crankcase through the piston by an auxiliary pump. Alternatively the upper piston and cylinder extensions may be closed and provided with valves 22, 12 to form an air pump. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 437/03, [Class 122], 1132/11, and 11096/14, [both in Class 122 (i)].
