Abstract
480,095. Air compressors. PESCARA, R. P. July 13, 1936, No. 34495 /37. Convention date, July 15, 1935. Divided out of 480,101. [Class 8 (i)] To reduce the stresses on the connecting linkage, and to facilitate starting, the inactive face of the high pressure piston 22 is exposed to the air pressure from the intermediate pressure receiver 17. Pipes 37, 38 and valve 34 allow the pressure on each side of this piston to be equalized, thus enabling the piston to be pushed to its outer dead centre before starting.
