Abstract

503,283. Spinning spindle bearings. HAMEL E. April 19, 1938, No 11723. [Class 12 (i)] A spinning spindle 10 is mounted in a tube 4 housec in a casing 1. A sleeve 5 is splined to the tube 4 and screws into the casing 1, a compression spring 8 being arranged between the sleeve 5 and a stop 9 on the tube 4 so that the tip 11 oi the spindle is pressed against a concave footstep bearing 2 in the bottom of the casing 1. The upper portion of the tube 4 has small clearance with the casing 1 and is provided with inclined slots 7 to permit oil that rises up the spindle 10 to flow out into the casing 1.
