Abstract

1365908 Lubricating rings MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 24 Aug 1971 [1 Sept 1970] 39593/71 Heading DID [Also in Division F2] A lubricating device for spinning and twisting rings comprises wicks 5 which supply lubricant from a reservoir 3 to the rings 8, the reservoir containing a further wicking element 6, there being reserve reservoir 4 in which the maximum lubricant level 8 is below the further wicking element 6, for supplying lubricant to the main reservoir. The lubricant is supplied from the reserve reservoir to the main reservoir by a wick 7. The height of the reservoir 3 above the level 8 of lubricant in the reserve reservoir may be varied e.g. by screws (9, Fig. 3 not shown) so as to vary the rate of flow of lubricant.
