491,306. Vehicle doors; draught - excluding doors. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.- GES. Sept. 13, 1937, No. 12872/38. Convention date, Sept. 14, 1936. Divided application. [Class 103(ii)] [Also in Group X] In a pressed sheet-metal vehicle door of the kind comprising an inner frame and outer panelling, marginal portions of which together form a double-thickness outer flange, the flange is bent inwardly approximately perpendicular to the plane of the door to form an inwardly presented U-formation covering the gap between the door and door opening, the frame and panelling being connected together, preferably by spot welding, at the inwardly bent portion of the flange. As shown, the marginal portions of the frame 12 and outer panel 14 are bent inwardly at 37, 38 to form a U co-operating with a channel 40, surrounding the door openings, and a resilient packing strip 41 to form a seal for the door.
