841,029. Draught excluding strips. HAPPICH G.m.b.H., Geb. Aug. 9, 1957 [Aug. 9, 1956; Aug. 24, 1956], No. 25154/57. Class 20(3) An edge beading or sealing strip 2 is secured to a metal flange 21, e.g. around a panelled vehicle door, by means of a T-shaped metal strip 3 the side limb 16 of which is slit transversely at intervals 6 to form mounting tongues 7 which are spot welded to the flange 21 before the beading 2 is pushed over the metal strip 3. The beading 2 has internal grooves 9 which receive the ends of the cross limb 15 of the strip 3 and a groove 22 in its upper face to receive a filler strip 17. The cross limb 15 of the strip 3 may have a central longitudinal groove to receive a corresponding rib within the beading 2.
