Abstract
490,120. Spraying-apparatus. WESSTROM, N., and LUNDIN, G. Feb. 9, 1937, No. 1098/38. Divided out of 488,732 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 11, 1937. Addition to 458,202. [Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Groups I and VI] An artificial fog is produced by spraying into the air liquids such as oleum, chlorsulphonic acid, stannic tetrachloride and titanium tetrachloride, and after the fog has been produced reducing the pressure of the liquid till it falls as drops from the spray nozzle into a receptacle containing a substance such as lime which causes a further production of fog. Figs. 2 and 3 show the spray nozzles 10 which are connected to the pumping apparatus which may be of the kind described in Specification 488,732. In Fig. 2 the nozzle 10 is shown completely surrounded by a receptacle 22 containing lime and provided with a thin cover 24 which breaks when the pumps commence working. In the modification shown in Fig. 3 the nozzle 10 is above the cover 24 which is corroded and destroyed by the liquid falling from the nozzle when the pressure is reduced.
