Abstract

488,563. Beverage infusion apparatus. GANSERER, A. W. Jan. 8, 1937, No. 579. [Class 129] A tea or coffee machine has an upstanding boss 6 on its base in which an electric heater is received and around which can lie an annular plane filter 13 supported by stepped shoulders 21 so as to leave a small chamber 22 underneath, which chamber is provided with a draw-off cock ; a volume filter 24 consisting of a sievelike body can fit over the boss 6. The heater consists of a hollow body with the heating elements lying in peripheral grooves and spaced only a short distance from the metal protective cover which consists of a cylinder member 29 and a base 30 fastened thereto by spring-catch seams 32. The machine is supported on a stand 3 and is held thereon by the handle 12 acting as a spring clip by the upper end 7 being resilient and the lower end 8 being free and having inward extension to engage the underside of the stand. The filters are lifted out by means of detachable spring bows 17.
