726,144. Coffee percolators. PATZNER, H. July 16, 1953 [July 22, 1952]. No. 19752/53. Class 129. An electrically heated coffee perc§- lator consists of a water container 1 having a lid 7 incorporating a safety valve 9, the electric heater 11, and a dished base 2 which supports a tube 4 open at both ends but surrounded by an outer tube 5 also secured to the base 2 and open only at the chamfered portion 6. The mounting of the heater 11 also serves to secure the container 1 to a support bracket 14. A coffee filter 17 with a perforated lid and a rolled flange 21 is a resilient fit within a skirt depending from the container 1, and a cup 32 fits into the flange 21 of the filter where it is held by screw clamp 7 on the bracket 14. In use, water boiled in the container is forced up tube 5 into tube 4 and thence through the coffee filter into the cup.
