421,950. Coffee infusers. THIEME, O., 25, Walbridge Road, West Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A. June 23, 1934, No. 18629. [Class 129] A beverage maker comprises a pervious infuser capable of immersion in a liquid and means for intermittently rotating the infuser in the liquid. In the form illustrated, the perforated infuser 32 contains the coffee grounds and is connected to the rod 26 so that it is immersed in but not covered by the water in the pot 1. The infuser is then rotated intermittently by the electric motor 6 which has a timing device 11 to terminate the operation after a predetermined period of activity, depending upon the strength of coffee desired. The infuser comprises an outer perforated casing 32 and an inner cylindrical frame 44 between which and the cover 32 is a filter cloth 46, Fig. 3. The infuser is adapted to be suspended at varying heights in the pot by notches 28 in the rod 26.
