The latter holds the coffee during infusion, but on being raised allows it to escape through perforations in the bottom. An annular groove 10, preferably perforated, allows the steam to escape, while a narrower groove 11 permits the inner receptacle to be held in its raised position by means of a clamp 12 pivoted on the handle 3.
