Abstract

617,029. Strainers. SHULMAN, H. Sept. 25, 1946. No. 28675. [Class 46] In a tea strainer comprising a straining member 7 detachably pivoted between arms 1 mounted on a drip receptacle 5, the arms 1 are made springy so that they may be forced apart to permit the pivot pins 6 on the strainer 7 to engage in holes 2 in the arms, grooves 8 being provided in the arms to guide the pins. One or' both arms have handles 4, and both are splayed outwardly as at 3 so as to bring the floors of the grooves to the surface at the upper ends. In a modification the grooves and holes are provided in the rim of the strainer, and the pivot pins are pressed up from the arms.
