[Classes 52 (ii), 52 (iii), and 52 (v)] In a table or display stand comprising a top a, a column c and a base b drawn together as by a central bolt p, the top and base have projecting discs x, m which fit within the ends of the column. As shown inverted the disc x fixed to the underside of the top has a central hole in which takes a bent end of the bolt p which passes through a hole in the disc m and is secured by a nut. The column is formed of sheet-metal and may be fluted, the abutting edges of the sheet are flanged and joined by a C-section metal strip j.
