Abstract
474,348. Stands for picture frames &c. MAYER, R. April 21, 1937, No. 11397. Convention date, June 29, 1936. [Class 52 (v)] [Also in Group XV] In a picture or like frame adapted to be supported in an upright position by a member having springs adapted to be introduced between the frame and the picture or other object to be framed, the springs b are disposed on a foot member c in an upright position, and the base of the frame has a recess for the introduction of the framed objects and the springs. The frame is made from channel-section members of metal, wood or synthetic material, and at its base the rear flange is omitted and the central web is half cut away to permit the introduction of sheets of plain and ground glass d<1>, d<2> and the picture e, and the sliding of the curved springs b between the glass d<2> and the rear flanges of the side members of the frame. The object framed may be of pasteboard, glass and pasteboard, wood, or other material, and may be a picture, price ticket, display car, or the like for a shop window.
